HEALTH & SAFETY

It is the policy of Acrabuild (Anglia) Ltd that its operations are conducted in a way as to safeguard the health, safety, and welfare of all employees at work, and all other persons who may be affected by its activities. The Company will ensure that the responsibilities for health and safety are properly assigned, accepted, and fulfilled at all management levels. Employees are required to fully co-operate and support this legal requirement.

Our aim is zero lost time accidents with the objective of training & utilising our employees to become a safety conscious workforce which utilises current best practice.

Specific objectives are:

  • The Company will do everything which is reasonably practicable to provide and maintain plant, equipment, protective clothing, and systems of work which are safe and an environment which is without risk to health.
  • The use, handling, storage and transport of articles and substances for use at work are safe and without risk to health.
  • The working environment of all employees is safe and without risk to health, and that adequate provisions are made with regard to the facilities and arrangements for their welfare at work’.
  • The Company will ensure that employees are properly informed, instructed and trained in the health and safety aspects of their work.
  • The Company will ensure accurate reporting and investigation of accidents with a view to achieving reductions in accident rates by the analysis of causes and trends.
  • Company management will conduct periodic inspections and establish action plans where improvements and opportunities are identified.
  • Health & Safety management systems will be tailored to HSE guidelines with adequate resources being provided for this requirement.
  • The Company will encourage discussion and consultation with employees with a view to promoting and developing measures to ensure health and safety at work and to check the effectiveness of such measures.
  • To build and maintain a workplace environment and culture that supports mental health and wellbeing and prevents discrimination.
  • All employees, contractors or sub-contractors will be advised of any changes to this policy.

Compliance with statutory requirements and codes of practice is mandatory and employees are reminded of the legal obligation to ensure that they do not endanger the health and safety of others, that they co-operate with the Company in the respect of safety and that they do not interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interest of health and safety.

Any failure of any person to carry out his responsibilities under this policy will be treated as a disciplinary matter.
